Getting connected to Accra-IX is easy. Please submit your information and we can get you up and running in few minutes.
Accra-IX is open to any organization. Networks wanting to peer must have an Autonomous System Number (ASN). We welcome all Internet Service Providers, carriers, corporates, and content providers.

We encourage you to register your ASN at PeeringDB.com. This makes your ASN more attractive and easier to peer with for other ASNs.
Please read the Connection Agreement. It comes into force as soon as your equipment is physically connected. If you don’t agree with it, please do not consider connecting to the Accra-IX infrastructure.
How Peering Works Here
Multilateral by Default
One BGP session to each route server gives you reachability to every network that peers multilaterally - no per-peer negotiation required.
Bilateral Peering Welcome
Members are free to set up direct sessions with each other over the same port. The IX does not gate or broker these relationships..
No Settlement Fees
Traffic exchanged across the fabric is settlement-free. Members pay only a flat port and membership fee, independent of volume or ratio.
BGP Communities Supported
Standard and large communities let you control announcement scope per-peer, prepend selectively, or blackhole on request.
Requirements to Join
1. Registered ASN with IRR Objects
A public 16- or 32-bit ASN with route/route6 objects registered in a recognised IRR, matching what you announce.
2. Minimum Announcement
At least a /24 of IPv4 or a /48 of IPv6 originated by your ASN. IPv6 is strongly encouraged on every port.
3. 24/7 NOC Contact
At least a /24 of IPv4 or a /48 of IPv6 originated by your ASN. IPv6 is strongly encouraged on every port.
4. Maintained PeeringDB Record
Keep your PeeringDB entry current so other members can find your policy, contacts and facility presence.
5. No Default Routes Via the IX
