On Friday, 14th February 2025, Accra-IX, in collaboration with PAIX Data Centres, paid a courtesy visit to the NCA Tower to congratulate Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko on his appointment as Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
During the visit, Mr. Bright Tawiah (Bsc MBA LLB MA), Managing Director of PAIX, emphasized the significance of Rev. Fianko’s appointment, noting his deep understanding of industry challenges and the opportunity to continue and expand upon ongoing projects.
Mr. Silas Peprah, Executive Director of Accra-IX, shared the impressive growth of the exchange, which has evolved from zero traffic to an active membership of about 30 peers. He also outlined strategic plans, including workshops to educate Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on the benefits of data centres and initiatives to attract more content providers.
Mr. Peprah was accompanied by Mr. Daniel Duah, Advisory Board Member, and Mr. Bright Tawiah (Bsc MBA LLB MA).
